SCHLOSS BENSBERG CLASSICS.
Schloss Bensberg Classics will be appearing
at the 27th Techno Classica.
Bensberg, April 2015
The beating heart of the classic-car scene: almost 200,000 visitors streamed into the Grugahallen in Essen in 2014, and this year’s Techno Classica will once again live up to its reputation as the biggest trade fair for classic cars in the world. As usual, over 1,250 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and over 2,500 collectors’ vehicles from all eras are expected to appear.
Of course, Schloss Bensberg Classics will also be present at Techno Classica with an exclusive booth. From 15 to 19 April 2015, we will be providing you with all the details of the main highlights of the event – the Concours d’Elégance and the Rallye Historique – at our booth in Hall 7.0. If you are interested in participating in either of these competitions, we will be happy to explain how you can register with your classic car.
Our trade fair appearance will be supported by a very special automotive guest: you can look forward to witnessing the Laurin & Klement Type S, an open touring car constructed in 1911. This wonderful vehicle can be admired at Schloss Bensberg Classics in mid-July as part of the special exhibition ‘120 years of Škoda’ – which will also feature numerous other legendary vehicles from the long-established Czech manufacturer.
We will be very happy to answer any questions you may have about Schloss Bensberg Classics in person at Techno Classica 2015. We look forward to seeing you there.

The legend of Group B
The so-called ‘Group B’ only found its way into international rally driving for four short years – and yet the vehicles of that era (1983–1986) are passionately revered by fans to this day. This is primarily down to the overwhelming power with which manufacturers were permitted to arm their vehicles for the World Rally Championship at that time – made possible by a change to the regulations. Up to 600 h.p. was brought to the asphalt and gravel tracks, the looks were dominated by aerodynamic accessories of almost monstrous dimensions.
An impressive selection of automotive stars will up the adrenaline levels at this year’s Schloss Bensberg Classics: Audi Sport quattro S1, MG Metro 6R4, Citroen BX 4TC, Ford RS 200, Lancia 037, Lancia Delta S4, Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, Toyota Celica Twincam Turbo and Renault 5 Turbo.
120 years of ŠKODA AUTO
The long-established Czech manufacturer ŠKODA can look back on 120 years of history. It was in 1885 that Vàclav Laurin and Vàclav Klement laid the foundations for the varied company history of one of the world’s oldest car manufacturers with the Laurin & Klement bicycle factory in Mladá Boleslav. In 1925, L&K merged with ŠKODA Works.
At Schloss Bensberg Classics, you will have the opportunity to experience an exclusive selection of historic Škoda milestones at close range: ŠKODA 935, Superb OHV 3000, Rapid Cabrio de Luxe 1937, L&K S, L&K 110 and L&K Voiturette.
